Quick Update

I don't have much time for posting today, but I wanted to send a quick little update on Chance and his hoo-haa-ectomy. Chance did wonderful yesterday. He was a very good boy at the V-E-T and more than once I had a V-E-T tech ask me if they could take him home. All said how handsome and well behaved he was (Bendrix would be appalled by his good behavior, hehe). Once we got home and I let him out of his PTU, he ran right under the bed to hide and take a nap. He stayed under the bed till almost bedtime last night when he finally went and ate something. Then he sat next to the bed and meow'ed at me till I picked him up and put him to bed with me. By this morning he was rolling around on the floor like his usual self and only bit me once when trying to give him his pain meds. He refuses to jump up on anything (which is a good thing until he heals up) and he will not play with Imp, which of course concerns her. He seems to be handling everything without too much trouble and has shown no sign of discomfort since sleeping off the anesthesia. I will update more tomorrow. I loved taking the day off of work to spend time with my brave little boy, but now I am suffering the consequences of a cluttered desk.
