Funny Friday

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Shadow has to wear a huge plastic collar now to keep him from chewing. The V-E-T told Mommie that Shadows itchies should all be gone and the underlying problem is gone (for now), but the healing itches a bit. So in order to let the boo boo heal and the hair grow back, Mommie had to put this collar on to keep Shadow from aggravating the spot. He's walking in to walls and when he puts his head down he gets stuck so he just stops moving till Mommie rescues him. Its more entertaining than the smell of the intruder. Plus you can whap him on the butt and he cant see you. It's Awesome!

Have a great weekend!

Thinking on Thursday

Did you enter your funny picture for Funny Picture Friday yet? Better hurry up.

Quick Update from Mommie: Chance has finally stopped hissing and growling at the door where Imp is locked up. Instead he runs head first into the door. I've put a pillow on the floor to keep him from hurting himself. Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's my baby.

TUXIE Tuesday

INTRUDER!! Okay so I have smelled her on your shirt and I can hear her meow from under the door. I know there is an intruder in there Mommie. And just because last night I sniffed her on your clothes for a squillion hours without a fuss does not mean I am not mad at you anymore about this. She just better not steal my lap time with you. Or my food. Or my toys. She can have the stupid dog. He just wants to slobber all over me anyway.Oh and you better remember, it's TUXIE Tuesday, not Tortie Tuesday. Just sayin.....

Update from Mommie: Last night I got a call from the clinic and we scheduled Little Imp for an appointment on Nov 11 for a full wellness check-up. They will not schedule the surgery until they look at her and determine her age and health. From her size I would guess she is about 2 to 3 months, but she is so undernurished and tiny she could be a little bit older. The low cost clinic will not perform the surgery on her until she is 4 months or older.

Last night I spent some time with her and she is just a sweet little girl. She loves to cuddle and get her scritches, but she is unsure about toys. I gave her a few little bitey mice from Chance's new toy stash and she just sort of sniffed them. I gave her one of the extra squiggles and waved it around for her, but she just looked at me like I was crazy. I did get a reaction out of her with a catnip nanner. A few face rubs and bunnykicks and that was all.

I wonder if she was a stray that someone was taking care of (she trusts people and loves them so she has to have been socialized) and now they can't take care of her anymore. Or maybe she was an outdoor pet for the summer and with the colder weather coming the owners couldn't provide for her outdoor needs. I'm just grasping at straws here as to were she came from and why the sweet little imp doesn't understand toys or playtime but knows the affection of a human. Hopefully Chance will be willing to teach her a little once he stops being so hissy. He has already calmed down a little bit and is just sitting at the door sniffing under the crack for her. The hissing has stopped but he is still growling under the door every now and then. I think now he is more upset that he has been locked out of a room than the fact that she is here. At least that's what I am hoping. I would really love to keep her, but Chance was here first and it is his home too. He has a say in who stays and who goes. If he doesn't want her to stay we will have to find her another home. But we will worry about that when the time to decide comes.

Lastly, I want to Thank You all again for caring about this little girl. Your thoughts and purrss and advice restored my faith in humans and reminded me that not all people would have treated Little Imp as poorly as she had been. You hear soo much negativity about the way people treat animals that you forget sometimes there are still good decent people in the world. And I am pretty sure those wonderful people are all part of the Catblogosphere. Or at least the best of those people are. The rest just don't have computers. **Huge Hugs**

A Cry for Help

**Update 3** WOW, I am speechless and truly touched right now. In less than 8 hours you all pulled together and already our goal has been reached! I have called the Humane Society and left a message for them to contact me so I can take Little Imp in for an appointment. Hopefully they will give me a call back tonight so we can get her in A.S.A.P. I will most definitely keep you all posted on her progress as best that I can. It's amazing to think that last night I was so worried about her future that I could not sleep and now I feel confident that she has a chance at a happy healthy life thanks to all of our friends at the blogosphere. Again from the bottom of my heart Thank You!

Nelle here: Last night when I got home I found this box on my front porch. When I opened it I heard this pitiful little mew and this sweet little face popped out.

Of course I brought the poor little girl into the warm house and made good with the stinky goodness. The poor thing is soo starved I was afraid she would make herself sick with how fast she ate. I had to pull her from the food a few times to slow her down.

When she stands up you can see her little ribs poking through and she feels so fragile and wraithlike my heart is bleeding for her. She is the sweetest little thing I have ever met and once she finished eating, she curled up right on my shoulder and purrred herself to sleep.

The problem is, with Shadows recent problem (and very expensive visit to the V-E-T) I just don't have the money to take her to see the V-E-T. She is going to need all her shots and of course she will need her ladygardenectomy. I have her and Chance seperated for now until I can get her in and he is not happy at all. All he did was smell her on my shirt and he hissed at me, growled and then ran off. I really just don't know what to do for her. I contacted our local no-kill shelters and no one has room for her right now. I refuse to take her to the shelter as I know they are already over-run and I fear they would put her to sleep. Plus I'm not sure I would want to give her up. I just don't know what to do. I can't keep her and Chance seperated for long, but it may be a month or two until I can get her in to see a V-E-T. I would appreciate any support or advice from the blogosphere right now.

Oh and in case you were wondering, I have been calling her The Little Imp.

**Update**

I added a PayPal Donate button on the top left of the blog to help towards her V-E-T expenses.

**Update 2**

For those of you who asked in the comments about low cost vaccination clinics for The Little Imp, our local shelter does provide them. They cost $38 for the general exan, $22 for the vaccinations, and $70 for female feline sterlization. For an extra $16 I could also have her microchipped during her sterilization, but I am concentrating on making sure she is healthy first. Check out the link if you would like to learn more about our Humane Society.

Funnies on Friday

Have a great weekend!!

Chance

Pee Ess: Shadow will not let me come near him right now. Mommie said it is because of his itchies. She has been keeping us seperated when she is not home because Shadow is very irritated right now and me whapping him makes him mad. Mommie says that Shadow was born with Allergic Dermatitis. It is common, it can be lifelong, it is a challenge to diagnose, and once identified it can be resistant to attempts at treatment. Pretty much it means that at certain times of the year, Shadows skin gets very dried out, very irritated, and there is very little that can be done for him. Mommie will give him baths with medicated shampoos and a new flea collar (just in case). The V-E-T will even give him a shot of allergy medicine. But Shadow still chews and chews till he has little bald spots on his tocks. This makes him very unhappy (and who can blame him) and he does not like to be touched by anyone or anything because it makes him itchy all over again. Sometimes an increase in fatty acids helps, but not always. Mommie is going to the pet store today to get some DermCaps for him to see if they will help or if we have to just cope for the next month with this. In the meantime, Shadow will not be posting pictures on my bloggie as he is embarrassed by his baldness. Please send him some puurrsss that the fatty acids help him and stop his itchy sufferring.

Man-Cat Monday

Yes, I am sleepin on Shadows pillow.

Yes, I made Shadow sleep on my blanky.

No Mommie, I do not find it funnies, just comfy.

Just a little funny to get your Monday going...

Three male dogs are walking down the street when they see a beautiful, enticing, female poodle.

The poodle, realizing all three males want her, decides to put them to a test. "The first one who can use the words 'liver' and 'cheese' together in an imaginative, intelligent sentence can go out with me."

The black lab quickly says, "I love liver and cheese."

"Oh, how childish," the poodle says. "That shows no imagination or intelligence whatsoever."

Then the golden retriever says, "I HATE liver and cheese!"

"My, my," says the poodle. "I guess it's hopeless. That's just as dumb as the lab's sentence."

She turns to the last of the three dogs, the cihuahua, and says, "How about you, little guy?"

"Cheese mine. Liver alone."

Another Award!

And this one is all mine!
The wonderful Camie gave me this award and I am so happy.
Thank you so much for being my friend. I would like to pass this one on to all those crazy woofies at Jan's funny farm. Buddy, Samaritan, and the Sweet Merci of course, this one is for you.

Woofs

Shadow

Pee Ess from Mommy: I just want to thank you all for your kind words and support over the loss of my friend. The past week has been a bit of a struggle for me and the boys as well. They are still getting used to me being gone more now that I am working two jobs. They have even begun to argue over who gets to sit on my lap when I get home. If Shadow claims my lap then Chance is right there whapping him on the head till Shadow gets mad enough to jump down. Then of course Chance stakes his claim on my lap until Shadow growls at him enough to disturb his nap and the cycle continues until bedtime. Of course while this is all going on I am pinned to the couch and out of reach of my camera, so no new pictures yet. Once they settle down a bit we will be back up and running as before.

Chance: MOOOM yur embawasin us. Iffen Nina fins owt how silly I am she willna wansta go to anymor parties wif me.

Shadow: Yea Mom! And how am I going to ask Merci to go walking with me if she is laughing at me for being a Mommas boy.

Mommy: Sorry boys. I will try not to embarrass you anymore. But I am sure the girls will not mind at all. They will think you are just sensitive. Girls like sensitive guys.

Chance: Geez Mommie yoo donna noe noffin bowt girls.

Shadow: Maybe you should just stick to your day hunting and bowling. Besides its not like you've had a date in like a squillion years.

Mommy: ALRIGHT, THAT'S ENOUGH! Aren't you two late for your midday naps?
